Okay, so Link Fairy isn't telling people to "gift" them the money through Paypal, but guess what? Using the personal tab and clicking "Payment Owed" is the same as "gifting". Anytime you use the "Personal" tab, you are not covered by Paypal. Refer to the picture below for what is and is not covered by Paypal.
